Biography
Vincent is a curiosity-driven PhD researcher in the Microbiology Research Group at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), funded by a personal fellowship from the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). His research lies at the intersection of molecular and synthetic biology, studying transcription-factor-based biosensors in Escherichia coli through both experimental and computational approaches. His research interests include novel biosensor discovery, dose-response curve engineering and β-alanine-responsive biosensors. In addition to his research, Vincent teaches laboratory practicals and is committed to science communication, aiming to infect as many people as possible with his passion for microbiology.
